Here is an amazingly simple idea which could be a solution to some of the worlds biggest problems....

The world needs:

• More clean energy
• More sweet water
• More food
• The reduction of green house gases
• The reduction of artificially generated heat via the burning of fuels
• The reduction of pollution
• Large reserves of compressed air to fuel the coming era of compressed air car and power generation technology
• Large scale water pipe and pumping systems to irrigate the deserts

Because food can only grow where there is water and water can only reach remote food growing areas with the aid of pumps, plus the fact that sweet water can only be generated in large sustainable quantities via oceanic desalination or air condensation systems, the following concept seems to be the only obvious way to satisfy all of the above needs using just one simple and low cost technological system.
